Blue Soup is a brand new club night for Nottingham bringing you eclectic selections of soulful broken beats, fast-footed jazz, funky horns and spaced-out dub flavours to make you move. We’re delighted to be kicking things off at The Carousel, with an intimate party for adventurous music-lovers.
Guohan from Running Circle will bring his starry-eyed blend of jazz fusion, soul and electronica. If you’ve heard his Balamii radio show or encountered Running Circle’s record shop and label - the finest in Nottingham - you’ll know you’re in for a treat.
Get down early to hear Harry Rook warm up the dance. As one-third of Leeds collective Lift Your Feet, Harry explores fusions of jazz and soul on the dancefloor, recently popping up on NTS Radio to cover the legendary Marsha Smith (aka MarshmeLLo).
Finally, Blue Soup’s resident DJ will be unleashing a huge stack of broken beat, old and new, to make you groove and wiggle until close.
See you on the dancefloor for the start of something special.
