SUNK DRAGON PROMOTIONS IN ASSOCIATION WITH PICKY NEW PROMOTIONS PRESENT SOAPHEAD

At The Carousel on Saturday, May 11, Sunk Dragon Promotions in association with Picky New Promotions are excited to bring you an evening of music featuring Nottingham powerhouse Soaphead.

Soaphead blend grunge, punk, and rock and roll, making sounds reminiscent of bands like Agent Orange, Nirvana, and Circle Jerks. They have made a name for themselves packing out some of the best venues in the city; the self-proclaimed ‘disco demons from a hell’ are not a band to miss.

Supporting are Brighton’s brightest young hopes Canned Pineapple.  Blending American-tinged slacker rock with sing-along lyrics and personality to spare, the band have recently returned from New York City where they were chosen to play the New Colossus festival for the best new indie artists.  They were also one of the first bands announced for Rotterdam’s Left of the Dial festival this year.  This will be their first gig in Nottingham, something you need to experience!  Come ready to boogie.

Opening is Nottingham’s own Davoli, a graduate from the Jeff Tweedy school of songwriting, who weaves intricate lyrical narratives over jangly guitar-led instrumentals reminiscent of Tom Petty.

Spinning vinyl between acts and after the sets are the lads of Nottingham dynamo trio Bloodworm.
