Cyanotype Printing with Amelia Daiz

Cyanotype, or sun-printing,  is a photographic printmaking technique which uses a light sensitive medium to create images. During this workshop you will learn about the process, and how different chemicals react to light and be able to experiment using object and images to create an artwork!

What you will do…

During this time you will be able to experiment with cyanotype onto paper and fabric, creating different tones of colour. You will be able to create images using natural and synthetic objects as well as illustration and photographic processes.

By the end of the workshop you will have gained an understanding of this magical process and leave with your original artworks!

About the artist…
This workshop is led by artist Amelia Daiz; a socially engaged artist who has been working professionally as an artist and workshop facilitator for over 6 years. Her practice is multi-disciplinary, often including elements of print, text and participatory work and has been exhibited locally and within Europe. She is the founder of the organisation Meanderers and is an associate artist at Nottingham Contemporary.
